Spruce Needles Golf
Course 2008
| When playing the Spruce Needles Golf club in Timmins, it
is sometimes easy to forget that this gorgeous Northern Ontario Golf Course
lies well within the city limits. So dense is the forest around many of
the holes that the golfers are afforded complete privacy, not only from the
sites and sounds of the city, but from their golfers as well. The
course itself features a championship length challenge in the traditional
style. All greens are well protected by bunkers and water is in play on
about half of the holes. Despite the presence of so many trees, golfers
are aided by Spruce Needles generous landing areas and its large
accommodating greens.
The superb condition of the fairways and greens testify to a maintenance
program that is second to none. This hidden gem is enjoyed by golfers of
all levels, simply for its beautiful condition and picturesque scenery.

at the club has a direct bearing on the Spruce Needles' reputation and
public image. Because we are dedicated to the highest standards and
traditions of the game, it is important that members and their guests dress
in appropriate golfing attire. |

DRESS CODE
The Board of Directors has approved the following
dress policy for our club. The dress regulations take into consideration
current trends in golf wear and
practices of other golf clubs.
The purpose of these dress regulations is to develop an
underlying spirit where all members and guests respect each other, and honor
the traditions of the club by wearing proper attire
which is clean, neat and tidy. Members have a responsibility to inform
their guests about the dress code
requirements.
Guidelines are as set out below;

Ladies and girls – Sleeveless golf shirts/blouses must have a collar
and collarless shirts/blouses must have sleeves. |
Track suits, spandex, cut off shorts, swimsuits, camouflage pattern

Tank tops, spaghetti strap tops |

Ladies - Vest type tops covering shoulders |

Exception …. Blue Jeans and skirts/skorts will be
permitted before the long weekend of May and after the Ryder Cup in
September.
Footwear that could damage the course is not permitted
on the golf course or on the practice areas. Metal golf spikes are not
permitted
The General Manager, all Pro shop staff, the Starters
and Marshalls on duty may refuse play to anyone that they feel, in their
discretion,
does not meet the intent of this dress code.
