Dress Code:

 

What people wear at the club has a direct bearing on the Spruce Needles' reputation and public image.  Because we are dedicated to the highest standards and traditions of the game, it is important that members and their guests dress in appropriate golfing attire.

 

The Board of Directors has approved the following dress policy for our club.

 

The dress regulations take into consideration current trends in golf wear and practices of other golf clubs.

 

The purpose of these dress regulations is to develop an underlying spirit where all members and guests respect each other, and honour the traditions of the club by wearing proper attire which is clean, neat and tidy.  Members have a responsibility to inform their guests about the dress code requirements.

 

Guidelines are as set out below:

 

Acceptable
 
Men ... Collared shirts Ladies and girls ... Sleeveless golf shirts/blouses must have a collar and collarless shirts/blouses must have sleeves.
 
Men … dress pants or shorts,
Ladies … slacks, Capri pants, dresses/skirts/skorts and shorts (mid-thigh)
 Turtleneck shirts and mock turtlenecks
 Ladies - Vest type tops covering shoulders
 Unacceptable
 Clothing that is ripped, torn, frayed or in general disrepair
 Track suits, spandex, cut off shorts, swimsuits, camouflage pattern clothing
 Tank tops, spaghetti  strap tops 

 Crew neck tee shirts

 

Footwear that could damage the course is not permitted on the golf course or on the practice areas. Metal golf spikes are not permitted.

 

The General Manager, all Pro shop staff, the Starters and Marshalls on duty may refuse play to anyone that they feel, in their discretion, does not meet the intent of this dress code.
